Our wedding was held on our church's lawn in October of 2002, to take advantage of the fall colors as a backdrop for our fantasy-themed wedding. We are pictured here in our costumes for the occasion.
My wife's dress was sewn to her specifications by House of Fabrics in Asheville, NC. My costume was made by me, aided by my wife and guided by her late aunt. My boots are by Minnetonka. My leather vambraces (which sadly didn't show up in any of our pictures), and my cloak clasp and matching hair tie are from renstore.com. Our circlets and all of the rest of our jewelry were made by us. Lura even made her bridal bouquet out of beads and wire, with a few artificial flowers as accents.
Interesting fact: I quite accidentally chose the exact same material for my cloak as she did for her dress. Crafting my cloak was so troublesome a process that I vowed to never, ever, try to sew satin again.
The photo was taken by my then-future brother-in-law, using my old Canon Powershot G3, and is (C) 2002 Frank & Lura Wilcox.
